This hands-on training aims to build expertise in both hardware and software repair, ensuring that participants are confident in their ability to handle common issues and provide quality service for DJI drones. The workshop will also cover safety standards, tools, and industry best practices for drone repair technicians.
Objective of the 30-Day DJI Drone Repair Workshop:
Drones, or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), are aircraft that operate without a pilot on board. Key components include the frame, motors, propellers, battery, flight controller, and transmitter. The motors and propellers generate thrust, allowing flight, while the flight controller manages movement and stability using sensors like gyroscopes and GPS. Drones are powered by rechargeable batteries, offering flight times of 20 to 60 minutes. They are used in diverse fields such as aerial photography, surveying, agriculture, and search and rescue. Understanding these fundamentals is essential for both operating and maintaining drones effectively.
During drone repair, focus on diagnosing the following key components:
1. Power System: Check the battery for charge and damage, and ensure the power distribution board and ESCs are functioning properly.
2. Motors & Propellers: Inspect for damage, wear, and smooth operation of motors, and check propellers for cracks or misalignment.
3. Flight Controller: Verify connections, ensure firmware is up-to-date, and test sensors like gyroscopes and accelerometers.
4. GPS/Navigation: Ensure proper GPS signal and compass calibration.
5. Transmitter/Receiver: Test communication, range, and failsafe functionality.
6. Camera & Payloads: Ensure cameras, gimbals, and other attachments are functioning correctly.
